A pre-purchase inspection is an independent check of a used car before you buy: full diagnostic scan, paint and body check, underside, road test and a written report. We arrange it at a partner workshop in Dubai, with the seller present or with their agreement. Message us on WhatsApp or call with the listing.

When you need it

  • You found a used Audi online and the asking figure looks too good
  • The car is an import, not GCC spec
  • The seller has no service history
  • It is your first Audi and you do not know the weak points

What the job covers

  • Full system scan

Every control unit is read for stored and intermittent faults, including ones cleared shortly before the sale.

  • Body and paint check

Paint thickness is measured on every panel to find resprays, filler and signs of accident repair.

  • Mechanical inspection

Engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, tyres and the underside are checked on a lift for leaks and damage.

  • Road test and report

The car is driven, then you get a written report with photos, findings and what needs attention first.

On an Audi specifically

On a used Audi we look hardest at the expensive items: S tronic behaviour when hot, air suspension holding its height on the Q7 and A8, and oil leaks. Some older 2.0 TFSI engines are known for oil consumption and timing chain tensioner wear. A cold start tells a lot, so ask the seller not to warm the car up.

How it works

Independent check of a used Audi before you pay

On site: 25 to 45 minutes

  1. Send us the listing, the chassis number and the seller location.

  2. We agree a time with you and the seller and book the workshop.

  3. The car is scanned, measured, lifted and road tested.

  4. You get the written report and a straight opinion on what you saw.

Where we offer Pre-purchase inspection

Across Dubai, and in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi by arrangement. These are the areas we attend most.

Battery trouble as well?

Batteries are our core work. If the car is slow to start or shows a low battery message, we can test it free on the same visit.

Pre-purchase inspection: Common questions

Short answers. Anything else — WhatsApp us.

How long does a pre-purchase inspection take?

Allow a couple of hours at the workshop. That covers the scan, paint readings, lift inspection and a road test. The written report follows the same day, so you can decide while the car is still available.

Is the RTA passing test enough when buying a used car?

No. The registration test checks roadworthiness basics. It does not read fault codes in depth, measure paint or judge the condition of the gearbox and suspension. A car can pass and still need major work.

Should I avoid an imported Audi?

Not automatically, but check harder. Some imports arrive after accident or flood damage abroad and are repaired here. Run the chassis number through a history report, and have the structure, airbags and electronics inspected carefully.

Will the seller allow an inspection?

Most honest sellers agree, usually at a workshop near them. If a seller refuses any independent inspection, treat that as information about the car. We can speak to the seller to arrange the time.
