Which Audis suit a Bosch battery

The S5 A is the line we reach for on start-stop Audis from roughly 2012 onwards, since those cars need AGM or EFB to keep the system working. Big models such as A6, A7, A8, Q7 and Q8 typically take large H7 to H9 AGM cases. An older A3, A4 or TT without start-stop can take an S4 or S5. We code the battery to the energy management afterwards.

Which Bosch battery does an Audi A4 with start-stop need?

Usually the S5 A, which is the AGM line, or the S4 E if the car was built with an EFB battery. We read the technology from the old battery and the car before choosing, because fitting the wrong type upsets the charging system.

Are Bosch batteries made in Germany?
