Short answers. Anything else — WhatsApp us.
Does a Skywell have a 12V battery?
Yes. All electric cars have one for low-voltage systems. It wears out like any other battery and is replaced separately from the main pack.
Can you jump start a Skywell?
We can power the 12V system so the car wakes up, then test the 12V battery and replace it if it has failed and is a serviceable type.

What is different about a Skywell battery
Every Skywell has a 12V battery alongside the main pack. It powers the locks, screens and the contactors that connect the high-voltage battery. When it fails the car appears dead even at full charge. We work on the 12V side only.
Our vans are set up around Audi, which makes them well equipped for any car with monitored batteries and coding needs. For Skywell we bring the same tester, memory keeper and diagnostic tool.
What we check on a Skywell
- A dead car with a charged main battery points to the 12V battery
- We do not service high-voltage systems
- Some models use a dealer-only 12V lithium unit
