What to know about the TT RS battery

A TT RS in the UAE is rarely a daily car. It sits, sometimes for weeks, then gets driven hard for an afternoon. Batteries in cars like that fail from standing discharged, not from use. If yours is parked more than it is driven, a maintenance charger will save you a battery every couple of years.

As an S or RS model, the TT RS runs bigger cooling fans, pumps and audio than the standard car, so it should get the AGM battery at the upper end of the capacity range, not the cheapest one that fits.
